Weekend Homework and Tentative Schedule for Week 10
Read the other model Process Essays pages 119-121. Decide which organizational pattern is used.
Go to a park, cafe, or some busy public place and fill out the planning photocopy. Then write a one page descriptive paragraph of that place. Use narrative (first person style: I see . . . )
Week 10 Schedule:
Monday: share and edit descriptive paragraphs, look at more process essay models.
Tuesday: Work on noun clauses, causative verbs, -ing and other common errors.
Wednesday: Final Writing Test. This is worth 20% of your grade! Don't miss it!!!

- You can also do some more UUEG Chapter 13 exercises. Exercises 13 15, 17 and 27 are good review practice for WHOSE, WHERE and WHEN
- New Blog for this week: Describe a favorite toy, childhood memory, or find and interesting picture from the internet to describe using who, which, that, whose, where. try reducing some of the adjective clauses. (Please post by Sunday)

Homework & Grammar Test on Monday
- Study for your Grammar Test on Monday. It will cover: adverb clauses p.41 (because, if, when, although etc, transition words p.58 (Therefore, however, In addition etc) & Fragments p. 82-82, Run ons p.92-93, and Comma Splice errors p. 104-105.
- Complete your outline for your "How to Deal with Stress" essay. You should have topic sentences for each body paragraph and notes about details and examples. If you can not think of details, try to make your paragraphs a bit broader. Instead of "Talking to friends" say "Talking to People" and write about friends and parents.
